A diverse selection of savory and sweet treats

Alakuppila is located at the city center campus D wing, on the lower level near the large lecture halls. This café is protected by the Finnish Heritage Agency and has an authentic retro vibe. The space is well suited for dissertation events and other parties. This space has been used by students and university staff since 1967 for studying and breaks. The orange, leather clad chairs have been a part of the decor of Alakuppila since the beginning.

We offer a wide range of savory and sweet delicacies for the hungry. The café offers responsible coffee and a varied selection of teas. Alakuppila is also well suited for dissertations and other celebrations.
