Block is a lunch and catering restaurant located in Tyyssija, in the Turku Student Village. On weekdays, the restaurant offers a diverse and delicious lunch buffet, where you can create a healthy meal just the way you like.
The buffet allows you to choose from three different meal options. Our Cozy concept features two choices of delicious and nourishing home-style dishes combined with global flavors. The Roots concept offers vegan dishes made from responsibly sourced ingredients.

At Restaurant Block’s open kitchen, you can enjoy Fusion Kitchen dishes from Tuesday to Friday between 11 AM and 2 PM.
The menu features juicy burgers served as plated meals, along with other flavors where tradition meets international flair.
Come and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and bold tastes – straight from the heart of Block.
By showing your student card, you are entitled to the Kela meal subsidy.

At Juvenes staff restaurants, you can purchase leftover lunch at a discounted price right after lunch hours. Student lunches are also available for takeaway. We operate responsibly and prefer the use of customers’ own takeaway containers. Up-to-date pricing information is available at the restaurant.
You can offset the carbon footprint of your meal by donating a minimum of 5 cents to our Reforest partnership when making a lunch purchase. Juvenes donates 5 cents for each refund, and the donations are used in full for Reforest’s reforestation efforts.
